Saying Goodbye

The Saying Goodbye services are for people who have lost babies at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy. The services take place at Cathedrals and Minsters across the UK, and more than 20 are taking place this year.

One of these services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday 11th May in Winchester Cathedral, and the organisers are trying to spread the message about the service, as they want as many people as possible who have been affected by losing a baby to be able to attend.

There have been amazing attendances at the other services with people who have lost babies in recent weeks and months sitting next to people who lost a baby 60 or more years ago.

Suffice to say the services have been deeply moving and have brought about significant healing, which has been incredible. It is hoped that radio, TV and newspaper coverage over the coming ten days, which, it is hoped, will help to alert people to the service taking place.

There will be another Saying Goodbye Service at 5:30pm on Saturday 8 June in Chichester Cathedral.

The website for Saying Goodbye is www.sayinggoodbye.org, and this has lots of other information on who they are and what they do. We have amazing Ambassadors and Advocates including The Archbishop of York, J John, Beth Redman and many more.
