Prospects, Petersfield

Prospects (formerly known as Causeway Prospects) is for people with learning difficulties and the Petersfield branch was formed, with the help of PACT, about ten years ago when Pat Thorne saw a need for a special form of worship for people who find it difficult to join in church worship.

Prospects is a country wide organisation and has helped us with training and support. Visit the Causeway national web site at www.prospects.org.uk for more details. Recently they have had a Walk With Me campaign - walking across Britain to raise the profile of the Charity and to raise funds.

We have about 17 people on our roll and we meet on the third Tuesday of every month (except August and December) in The Salvation Army hall, by their kind invitation. We ask people to arrive at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

We have a band of faithful helpers from all the PACT churches but can always welcome more. Why not join our joyful and noisy worship on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm - you will be made welcome and you'll be glad that you came!

We start our meeting with the following prayer:

Lord God we are glad to be here this evening with our friends and we invite you into our worship and into our lives
Be with us Lord

We pray for the people who can't be here
Be with them Lord Jesus

We pray for those people reading, teaching, helping, guiding this evening and for those who listen and join in
Be with us Lord Jesus

Amen

We end our meeting wit the following prayer:

We go home tonight Lord thinking about what you have taught us
Go with us Lord Jesus

Help us to live as you wish us to be: loving and kind, cheerful and helpful
Be with us Lord Jesus

Bless and help us All

Amen
