Christian Aid Super Soup LunchChristian Aid Super Soup Lunch: Saturday 2 February 2013

The Family Centre at the United Reformed church was packed as many people enjoyed the Christain Aid Super Soup Lunch

In addition to the meal there were stalls selling Fairtrade products, postage stamps and Sally was operating a stall selling a wide range of gifts to raise more money for this worthy cause.

The extensive menu - and by 12:15 two varieties
had already sold out!
Enjoying their soup - and brea and cheese

A family affair - Bobs Moat (back to camera), Phil and, in the second photograph, their daughter Liz with a friend (Ali Stephens) and Liz's husband, John - who, in case you didn't know is the PACT web master!

Christian Aid Week: 12 to 18 May

Today around 870 million people are desperate for food. One in eight people will go to bed hungry tonight. This is a scandal.

Join us to bite back at hunger this Christian Aid Week and help communities find ways to not only survive but to thrive, with enough food to eat not just today but tomorrow.

Lent is a time to take each day to reflect, pray and be thankful for the goodness of God and the blessings that we have received. Make Lent count this year in a fresh way by joining us on the Count Your Blessings journey and supporting some of the poorest communities in the world.
