Christian Aid Super Soup Lunch: Saturday 18 February 2017

A wonderful selection of homemade soups, bread, biscuits and cheese followed by tea and coffee- and After Dinner Mints - made lunch a most enjoyable occasion. The service was attentive and efficient and everyone who attended had a wonderful time - not the least part of which was the opportunity to catch up on old friends and to make new friends.

Thanks to all who supported the day and especially those wonderful cooks who made such delicious soup!

Amount raised during the Lunch
Sally's Stall £  53.00
Donations £339.00
Gift Aid from some donations £  31.00
Total £423.00

As always, a good choice of soups and today: the options included gluten-free soups! The main purpose of the day was to raise the awareness of the work of Christian Aid and to raise funds for them
A regular supporter of the Christian Aid Lunch, Sally was selling her cards, books and jam and marmalade. The sunlight added a feeling of intimacy to one of the tables where old friends chatted and a new friend was added.
