Could be time to look again

Less than 12 months ago, most people would probably say they felt secure in their job and were comfortable with their mortgage payment.

If at that time I had questioned the safety of the money in your bank account, I would probably have been laughed at.

A year or so later, how things have changed.

The foundations upon which the material world has built itself have been shaken to the core.

As we travel through the 40 days of Lent, we are reminded that Jesus spent time alone in the wilderness, seeking the will of God, the Father, for his earthly life.

I would recommend that anyone who now finds themselves going through an economic and material wilderness takes a leaf out of Jesus' book and takes the time to seek God and the opportunity to refocus priorities.

Christians are not immune to the struggles of life. History is lettered with those who have been martyred for their faith.

What Christians do know, however, is that whatever they are going through, God travels with them.

As we approach Easter, I encourage you to take a look at him and ask yourself 'in what or in whom do I put my trust?'
