No One Knows What Another Suffers

Suffering confronts us daily especially on our screens and in the newspapers. How is it that man's intellect and wisdom has allowed our world to get into such a mess? He creates wonderful gadgets for our use and enjoyment, and what will be the next available handheld marvel I wonder? God in His wisdom created us in his image, to have choices, create, and look after our wonderful world.

As we look around us today, there is evidence of Spring in spite of the extreme ice and snow a short while ago. In fact, we are told that an extremely cold winter produces a magnificent spring; this was evident in 2010. Soon we will see a glorious display of God's creation. We cannot see God, but we can choose to trust that He is in control. In this small corner of our wonderful world, we cannot put the world's trouble right, but we can make a difference by recognising the needs of others around us. We may not know the depth of another's suffering, but let us give a listening ear; show love and concern. It is amazing how a small act of kindness can lighten another's load.

A good verse to remember in the Bible is from Micah chapter 6 verse 8: Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.
