A Changed Life

We have just passed another anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.

I listened to the story on the radio from a lady who survived amongst the collapsed twin towers. That day she was working on the 64th floor and felt the building shake as the plane struck. With others she evacuated down the stairs. When she reached the 13th floor the building crashed and she was unable to move in the dust and darkness.

She closed her eyes and prepared herself to die and thought of her life and her daughter and begged God to give her a second chance. She promised to change her life and do His will and serve him.

Moving the only part of her body that she could she reached out her hand. Someone took her hand and said "My name is Paul". She was rescued after 27 hours.

So much sadness happened on 9/11 but this lady took her second chance and became a Christian.

Faced with losing her life, her possessions no longer mattered. She chose the more important thing and turned her heart to God. Thank God that he offers us all another chance.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17).
