Chaplains are there for you

January 2012 - we are all looking forward to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Torch coming to Petersfield, the Olympics and Paralympics - or maybe you were looking forward to your wedding, a new baby or just a job?

Are you ill and looking for some new drug to help you? In the Bible it says, "My help comes from the Lord."

Can you say that? And believe it? Does it mean anything to you? Look up Psalm 121 where it says: "I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? He who watches over you will not slumber... the Lord will watch over your coming and going forever more."

Here, we have the Petersfield Town Chaplains. Maybe you have seen someone wearing a blue shirt with a logo on the front, or a black sleeveless zip-up jacket with CHAPLAINCY on the back and logo on the front.

They are there for you to stop and question or to ask for a prayer or just unload your frustration with your life as it is now.

Life can be hard, very hard, but with God, we are not on our own. Do you know Him as your own personal Saviour? Try it yourself - what have you got to lose?
