Wonderfully Made

Have you ever thought how wonderful the human body is? So many different parts, each with their own function working together to enable us to eat, breathe, think, walk around and communicate with each other. Each of these functions is in their own right complex and yet we are made up of hundreds of such complexities. Could this have all happened by chance? I don't think so!

The Bible says in Psalm 139:

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

This teaches us that it was God who designed and made us so amazing. Our bodies could not have come together by chance. Many find it hard to believe that God could have done this, in fact they find it easier to believe that we crawled out of the water and then evolved gradually into what we now are. Yet is that not more implausible?

The Bible teaches that we are created in God's image; only a creator (an intelligent designer) could have made us so complex and yet functioning so well. Design proves there is a creator. When you look at a machine, you don't think that it could have evolved from nothing, you know that someone had to be clever enough to design it. The same principle applies to humans (and indeed to all of nature), someone very clever must have designed them.

In the same Psalm it says that God knows us and is always with us. We can't go anywhere away from him. We have a wonderful God, he made us and he cares for us.
