Christmas Day Lunch 2011
PACT will be holding a Christmas Day Lunch for those who are on their own on Christmas Day at the United Reformed Church Family Centre. We need names of anyone who would like an invitation. We need car drivers to bring guests in at about 12:30pm and/or take them home about 3:00 pm and volunteers to prepare and/or cook an item of the meal at home e.g. roast potatoes, herb stuffing balls, roast parsnips, sprouts, fruit salad etc.
Could you volunteer to help even for one hour either in preparing before the lunch at 1pm or to do some washing up after the meal? Is this something you are able to do?
We would stress, however, that we have no wish to disrupt family gatherings. They take priority, on this day of all days.

1 December 2011: The following food items are still needed:
To be brought in, cooked, on Christmas Day to the URC in College Street by 12.30 pm at the latest
- 1 dish of roast potatoes (3 pieces)
- 1 dish of roast parsnips (30 pieces)
- 36 sausages wrapped in bacon (ingredients provided)
To be brought to the URC from 3 pm* on Christmas Eve
- Bottles of wine or non-alcoholic drinks (NOT fruit juices)
- Chocolate mints / chocolates
- Small apples
- Satsumas
* Contact Christine Rushton for an alternative time
No further help is required but about. ten places are still available for guests.
Please contact Christine Rushton as soon as possible if you are able to supply any of the above and especially if you know of anyone likely to welcome a meal
and a few hours in good company on Christmas Day.
