Take a Step for Fairtrade in 2012
Fairtrade Fortnight, from 27 February to 11 March, is challenging the public to think about what they can do each day, week or month to make a difference to the lives of farmers in the developing world.
The Fairtrade Foundation will be launching a “stepometer” to record every step made towards a better deal for producers. A step is any action that supports Fairtrade – from someone buying their first packet of Fairtrade tea to organising an event to mark the fortnight such as a Bake-Off or teaparty.
Fairtrade Fortnight will kickstart a whole year of activities aimed at inspiring people to think about the issues and get more involved throughout the year.
Petersfield Fairtrade steering group invite you to sample free “fairtrade tastings” on Lloyds Bank forecourt on Saturday 25 February . 9:30 to 12:00 noon.
