Friday Focus

The Petersfield Herald is published every Friday but the Friday Focus appear on alternate Fridays. Copy should be delivered to the Post on the first dates shown below for publication on the second dates.

Copies of Friday Focus are published on the PACT web site on the day that the article appears in The Herald and it is a great help if you could email a copy to the PACT webmaster at the same time as the articles are sent to the Herald. Copies can be sent by email in Word format or in the body of an email to: webmaster@pact.org.uk.

If you are an author of a Friday Focus please read the notes at the bottom of this page.

CHURCH CONTRIBUTIONS TO PETERSFIELD HERALD FOR 2010

  1. A reminder that the article being written should be between 200 and 300 words in length.

  2. At the top of each page include the author’s name and contact number and the date for publication. The article should be typed and double spaced and should be signed off with the author’s name and church.

  3. Please deliver your article to the Herald's office - they are happy to accept contributions via email but do ask for a confirmation of receipt.  The email address is petersfield.herald@tindlenews.co.uk.

  4. We do not have the correct copy dates for Christmas and New Year for either newspaper so, if you are affected, it would be as well to seek clarification with the newspaper nearer the time (they cannot assist for the time being). They usually publish their deadlines a week or so before Christmas.

  5. The Petersfield Post give a title to the Christian Comment so, if you want to avoid something inappropriate, I suggest you provide your own.

  6. Both the Comment and Focus appear on the PACT website. Please would you email a copy to go on the PACT website at the same time you send it to the newspapers. The webmaster is John Studd and should be emailed to him at webmaster@pact.org.uk. If you do not have email, please would you send a copy to John Studd at 64 Moggs Mead, Petersfield, GU31 4NX.

  7. Petersfield Churches Together are unique in having the co-operation of both of our local newspapers and it is therefore vital that we seek to make their task as easy as possible. The main reason either newspaper fails to print our articles is that we have either missed the deadline or forgotten it is our turn. If you know you cannot produce an article, as a last resort please would you let me know (in good time) Also, if you have difficulty in remembering it is your turn, I can try to act as an alarm clock provided I know you want me to assist. My contact telephone number is 01730 269867 or email me at cawsey.alin@virgin.net (Linda Cawsey).
