More than 40 people, from seven weeks old to over 80 years old, turned out in the sunshine on Good Friday for a Good Friday walk around the village.
A large cross headed the procession and there were several stops where part of the story of Christ’s Passion were read. Children collected different colours stick on hands to stick to their own cross at each stop, signifying different parts of the story. At the last stop outside the St Mary’s church the crosses were laid at the foot of the large wooden cross.
The walk finished with coffee and hot cross buns.
This event is organised every year by members of all the different denominations represented in Buriton parish.
