Annual Report: The Petersfield Society for Special Needs 2009
The Society has had a very packed fun year despite searching unsuccessfully for a new secretary, following the resignation of Carole Patrick after 35 years in the position.
The current membership stands at 227, tha activities for the years have been very varied with trips to:
- Dirty Dancing, in London
- The Bluebell Line in east Sussex
- The Isle of Wight
- A visit to Windsor, including a trip on the Thames
It was sadly necessaey to close our pre-school group due to the lack of spceial needs children wishing to attend. We have been able to support individuals members during the year.
The popular Discos take place at the Petersfield Social Club on the first Wednesday of the month and are attended by about 120 members over the age of 16 years.
If you know of anyone who is prepared to take on the voluntary role as secretary please contact Carole Patrick.
